Random Act of Kindness Day
Random Act of Kindness Day
A community-wide initiative, Random Act of Kindness Day® is being held this year on Friday, November 12, 2010. The main purpose of the day is to encourage participating in a random act of kindness and building a better community. The Niagara Community Foundation has taken a lead on this initiative with the support of a variety of community partners, including Brock University, Niagara College, local school boards, the Niagara Region, business, media and non-profit organizations.
We are hoping that many of you will want to get involved and participate. We have posters and cards that can be distributed as a way to show participation in this initiative. An act of kindness can be as simple as buying someone a coffee or holding a door for someone. Once you complete you random act, the idea is to hand over a card to encourage others to do the same. I have cards in my office if you are interested.
